RICHMOND, BC, Canada – MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (MDA), announced that it has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract from DigitalGlobe Inc. to provide a ground station solution to an international customer to enable support for the WorldView-1 and WorldView-2 satellites. This contract is the third international ground station order to-date that MDA has received from DigitalGlobe.
MDA will provide a solution capable of programming, receiving and processing imagery from the WorldView satellites. As prime contractor, MDA is responsible for developing, integrating and installing the WorldView-1 information solution at the customer’s site in mid 2009 and the WorldView-2 solution following launch of the satellite.
