Matrikon Inc. has announced that it will support the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy, and Petroleum’s industry conference and exhibition, Mining Rocks!, held on April 24 – 27, 2005 in Toronto, Ontario.
Two presentations featured at this year’s conference are given by Matrikon mining industry experts Michael Currie, P.Eng., MBA, and Paul Miller, P.Eng. Michael Currie, Director of Asset Management for Matrikon Inc., will speak on “Equipment Asset Management – Reducing Maintenance Costs”. The presentation features a major Canadian mining facility highlighting the successful implementation of an Equipment Asset Management System (EAMS). While, Paul Miller, Manager of Asset Management Solutions for Matrikon Inc. will present “Automating Downtime & Production Reporting to Deliver Effective Maintenance”. This case study will demonstrate how software solutions linked with automation and control systems have helped create focused capital programs and maintenance strategies. These solutions will highlight delivered, measurable improvements to plant availability in a number of companies, including several Australian coal facilities.
