US: The trade association of private sector geospatial firms, MAPPS, will have its Fall Policy Conference at Drone World Expo this November at the San Jose Convention centre in California. Speakers include Bryan Baker from Leica Geosystems; Jeff Lovin from Woolpert; Andy Nickerson from Aerovel; Mike Tully from Aerial Services; and David Yoel from American Aerospace. Those who want to register, can do that for $95 before October 1, $195 after October 1, and $295 at the event. "The MAPPS sessions will complement the Drone World Expo education program and will focus on preparing entrepreneurs, investors, executives and technical managers, as well as end users, to utilize UAS technology to its fullest extent and expose the challenges that await fledging operators," said Joel Davis, President, JD Events, producers of the Drone World Expo. "For firms exploring UAS operations, subcontracting, partnering or any other strategy to utilize this technology, the MAPPS Fall Policy Conference at Drone World Expo is the place for you," added Davis.
