Azerbaijan: Cadastral maps covering 46.2 percent of the country’s territory have been made within the framework of the project of real estate registration, inventory and control system, funded by the World Bank and the State Committee for Property Affairs of Azerbaijan (SCPAA).
The SCPAA informs that cadastral maps were drawn up on 40,000 sq km while the overall land area of Azerbaijan is 86,600 sq km. Cadastral maps for Sumgait city were fully composed. Mapping for Baku, Ganja and Sheki continues. As for the occupied Azerbaijani territories (20 percent of the country), making of cadastral maps is conducted with the use of satellite technologies.
