August 7, 2002-MapInfo Corporation has announced the appointment of Kevin Antram as vice president and general manager of MapInfo’s aCRM business unit. Mr Antram will lead one of MapInfo’s three new business units focused on data, solutions and services that enable customers to use location to further enhance and analyse their customer and site location information. In this capacity, Mr Antram will focus on larger enterprise sales and strategic CRM alliances to help capitalize on MapInfo’s core technology competencies as a leader in location intelligence technology.
Mr Antram joins MapInfo from 180 Commerce Inc., where he served as vice president of sales. In that role, he was responsible for all aspects of sales, marketing, business development and strategic alliances. Mr. Antram initiated and developed alliance/reseller relationships with senior partners at PriceWaterhouse Coopers for Canada and the U.S., and was responsible for strategic direction and operations for all business development and sales activities.
