< 1 Minute Read

Malaysia: Global communications and information company, MDA, has been awarded three contracts by the Malaysian Remote Sensing Agency. Under the agreement, MDA will provide earth observation satellite RADARSAT-2’s data to the agency. It would also set up a ground station to process the information and provide training to develop a variety of products. The Malaysian Remote Sensing Agency plans to use the data from RADARSAT-2 to support a number of applications, such as flood monitoring, maritime and agricultural monitoring and natural resource management. The agency will also develop digital elevation products to be used in a variety of mapping applications.
