Lyft ropes in Asian partners

< 1 Minute Read

China: US-based ridesharing service Lyft has entered into partnership agreements with peers in Asia to increase its footprint in the region. Lyft has joined forces with Didi Kuaidi in China, Ola in India, and GrabTaxi in Southeast Asia. The move is being hailed as Lyft’s attempt to challenge Uber in the region. The partners' mobile apps will be able to tap into one another's services where available and let them call for rides when travelling. Lyft co-founder and President John Zimmer said, “We're excited to join with Didi, Grab and Ola to make global travel simpler for passengers. This isn't solely a partnership of four companies, but also an opportunity to have a greater impact on the future of our cities worldwide”
