< 1 Minute Read

Leon van de Pas has been appointed CEO of Unifly to lead the company in its next growth phase. He succeeds Marc Kegelaers in this role.

Leon holds degrees in Electrical Engineering and Economics of the The Hague University.ย His business experience spans several roles across the globe with sales and business responsibilities. He has worked in both emerging scale ups and multinational corporations such as Philips, Gemalto, Tele Atlas and HERE Technologies.
ย
On his appointment at Unifly, heย said that when he first came across Unifly three years ago, that was the first time he precisely realized the vast potential of unmanned vehicles moving along all three dimensions. He was struck by the opportunity of โ€œmappingโ€ the low altitude airspace. It is thrilling to imagine that all solutions currently built on a two-dimensional map for traditional manned vehicles mustย be brought to the third dimension for autonomous vehicles and in real-time as well. He added that he wants to thank Marc Kegelaers for bringing Unifly where it is today and that he is honored to lead the Unifly team through its next phase and bring immense growth to the organization.

Filip Tack, Chairman of the Board, said that the Board wishes to thank Marc for the collaboration and his leadership during the past years. Together they lifted the company from the start-up ranks to the scale-up league.
ย
He also added that as Uniflyโ€™s growth spurt continues within the rapidly evolving UTM-market, they are extremely proud to appoint Leon van de Pas as their new, experienced Chief Executive Officer to guide them to maturity. They believe that his appointment will undoubtedly lead to a further strengthening of the executive management team in its entirety.
