Heerbrugg, Switzerland: Leica Geosystems announced Leica Zeno Office v1.1 and Zeno Field v1.1 software updates for the Zeno series of GNSS/GIS products. The Leica Zeno GIS offers a multi-functional and easy-to-use GNSS/GIS solution with superior performance. It provides a unique one-click automated workflow between field and office to greatly enhance productivity and ease-of-use. It allows users to manage and maintain assets, inspect infrastructure, respond to emergencies, ensure public safety, explore natural resources and conduct as-built and incident mapping with ease.

The Leica Zeno Field software is an OEM version of ESRI ArcPad 8 and provides – in addition – a full range of functions to easily control the integrated GNSS receiver and to manage the data collection process such as GNSS raw data logging, simple handling of GNSS real-time configurations, feature accuracy management, and an automated workflow between the field and office. New features include support of several radio devices to receive RTK GNSS data, CDMA phone support for internet connectivity and receiving RTK GNSS data and Italian language support in Zeno Field.

Leica Zeno Office is a software package to maintain, manage and post-process GIS, GNSS and surveying data. It is based on ArcGIS 9.3.1. It supports 64 bit operating systems and SQL Express databases in Zeno Office on ArcGIS. Zeno Office v1.1 databases are 100% compatible with Zeno Office v1.0 databases.

Leica Zeno GIS provides a simple dataflow between field and office. Leica Geosystems offers two rugged GNSS/GIS handhelds Leica Zeno 10 and 15 which are part of the Leica Viva family.
