Lead’Air to release UAM at InterGEO Conference in Germany

< 1 Minute Read

US: Florida-based Lead’Air, manufacturer of MIDAS aerial camera systems and Track’Air flight management systems, has finalised the design for a new mapping camera, which would be compatible with Unmanned Aerial Systems, as well as conventional aircrafts. Weighing less than 12 Lbs., the system is entering the testing phase. It will be ready for order at the upcoming InterGEO Conference, in Stuttgart, Germany, in September 2015.

The UAM is said to be a fully-integrated and fully-professional mapping camera system, featuring a 50MP, full-frame CMOS sensor at 4.1mm pitch. The mapper is integrated in a mount, stabilised in all three axes and forms a complete unit with state-of-the-art IMU system and software integration.

The imager features +/- 50° in roll correction, +/- 50° in pitch and +/- 45° in yaw — forward or rear facing, useable in nadir and low oblique positions, up to 45° image angle. Its self-contained power supply can support three hours of continuous flight and image capture.
