Land records management solutions in Virginia

NovaLIS Technologies – a provider of integrated land records management solutions – is working with Montgomery County to implement two of its land records management solutions. The county is converting its CADD based parcels and will be using Parcel Editor as their maintenance tool. They are also in the first stage of implementing Land Development Office to automate planning, zoning, and code compliance. Montgomery County has a parcel base of approximately 34,000 parcels, a land area of 393 square miles, and a population of more than 80,000.

In addition to the Montgomery County office, the towns of Christiansburg and Blacksburg also use parcel data. These communities are currently seeking solutions that will enable them to achieve greater integration. Pearsall says that he is hopeful a successful implementation of NovaLIS’ solutions at the county level will motivate the towns to consider NovaLIS.
