Assessment Office, with full geographic information system (GIS) integration, has been selected by Jefferson County to provide a complete property appraisal and management system for its 350,000 properties.

The project will encompass all real and personal property accounts for the county. It will include the offices of the Board of Equalization, and the Tax Assessor for both the Birmingham and Bessemer divisions.

NovaLIS is implementing the solution with business partner, Valcura International. Team NovaLIS/Valcura is working one-on-one with each assessment and appraisal area to determine the exact system needs for the county. This configuration and customization effort will ensure that the final solution best meets the needs of Jefferson County.

NovaLIS Technologies will provide the most comprehensive solution to Jefferson County by offering complete integration of its computer assisted mass appraisal (CAMA) system with the county’s chosen tax collection and remittance system.
