Iran: A spokesperson from Aerospace Industries of Iran, has recently announced that Iranian and European companies are planning to develop a remote sensing satellite. Both companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a new remote sensing satellite with high-resolution imaging.
The agreement was signed between Iran's Sahfa Mahvareh Company and a creditable European firm. “The Sahfa Mahvareh Company will take control of the satellite, after it is launched into the space. It will be used for oil and gas exploration, forest monitoring, crisis management, border control, environment and spotting water,” said Amin Salari, Head of Union of Aerospace Industries.
