< 1 Minute Read

Malaysia: Intermap Technologies and EarthInfo together hosted a Digital Sabah workshop to further discussion on geospatial software systems. Around 40 participants participated in the event. The opening speech was given by Tuan Haji Safar bin Untong, Deputy Director, Lands & Surveys Sabah, who discussed the challenges the department faces with making the data available to users. Puan Doria Tai, Principal Assistant Director, gave an overview of the Digital Sabah program. Justin Kinser, Solutions Director, Asia-Pacific, discussed how Intermap will implement their new ORION Platform to help the department integrate all of their geospatial information into one common environment, including Intermap’s comprehensive collection of high-resolution IFSAR data covering the whole of Sabah, which will help other agencies as well as non-GIS users make informed decisions based on the L&S inventory of geospatial data.
