Istanbul: An interactive online map has provided a topographic view of more than 60 massive urban development projects taking place throughout Istanbul. Sevil Seten, an urban planner and visual design specialist, collaborated with urban planner and map specialist Murat Tülek to create the map in conjunction with the Istanbul Independent Architects' Association (IstanbulSMD), which originally conceived the project.
The website states that its purpose is to show the Istanbul of tomorrow. Users can click and zoom in on individual project areas to see a variety of relevant information, such as the project's type, budget, land area, start date and the institutions involved. The interactive project is supplemented by users, who contribute details and provide suggestions.
