US: After playing a crucial role in providing aid to the victims of Nepal Disaster, drones have emerged as a significant tool for future computing. And it seems Intel doesn't want to lag behind in this arena. At least this is what's coming out of the deal signed between Intel and Ascending Technologies.
Germany based Ascending Technologies, is best known for its auto-pilot software and algorithms. A product of this joint venture has already come out in the form of Intel RealSense technology’s real-time depth-sensing capability.
Intel plans for Ascending Technologies servicing team to continue with their services. Meanwhile, their current customers with adding Intel’s Perceptual Computing team to develop UAV technology that can help drones fly with more awareness of their environments.
