US: EagleView Technology Corporation announced that it is going to lead an initiative to form Property Drone Consortium together with insurance carriers, construction industry leaders and supporting enterprises. They will work together to promote research, development and the establishment of regulations for the use of Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) technology across the insurance and construction industries.
According to Chris Barrow, president and CEO of EagleView, their expertise in the geospatial domain aided by the knowledge of charter members in areas of property claims and underwriting will help drive regulatory change. He further said that, this will development will help in the driving the usage of drones throughout the insurance and construction industries.
