InfoTech plans data centre for UK co

INFOTECH Enterprises Ltd (IEL) has announced that it would be setting up a Data Centre of Excellence at its Indian facility for exclusively catering to the requirements of Sitescope Ltd, the UK-based provider of property and environmental risk information.

IEL, the software services company with core competencies in the areas of geographic information systems, engineering design and IT services, has completed one of the largest map and data capture exercises in the area of property and risk information for Sitescope.

In a press release, IEL said the Data Centre of Excellence would be set up in partnership specifically to enable the continuous improvement in the quality of data and IP assets used by Sitescope in its range of property and environmental risk services.

Commenting on the development, the Sitescope Chief Executive Officer, Mr Brendan Doyle, said, “Our market position as the leading supplier of environmental and property risk information in the home buying process has been achieved through a pursuit of excellence in the quality of the data and IP assets underpinning our services.

“We partnered with InfoTech because of their excellent credentials in the software and data markets including certification to SEI CMM Level 5 and ISO-9001: 2000 quality standards. InfoTech as our choice of partner is wholly reflective of our commitment to maintain and further develop our market position as the supplier of choice.”

According to the InfoTech Chairman and Managing Director, Mr B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, the company had a successful association with Sitescope over the last one year in terms of helping to create an essential data resource for the property and environment markets in the UK which involved around 160 of InfoTech’s engineers.
