Jharkhand, India: The Indian state of Jharkhand has decided to use the latest technology to give stress on development projects. Chief Minister Arjun Munda said technology like Aadhaar cards and GPS would ensure that the government”s welfare schemes like old-age pension and ‘antodaya yojna’ reached bonafide beneficiaries.
Stating that everyone in the state would get the Aadhaar card soon, Munda said the bio-metric system would be linked with Aadhar card for proper distribution of benefits under the government”s welfare schemes.
He also said the vehicles engaged in implementing welfare schemes would be equipped with GPS to help officials monitor implementation of the schemes.
Besides, introduction of these technologies would help the government monitor the development work across the state from one place, he said.
