India plans to hard-sell satellite at SAARC meet

< 1 Minute Read

India is offering to the SAARC region a satellite that can take care of the vast regionโ€™s current and future needs on medium terms and on economic rates according to the officials preparing for the SAARC Information Ministersโ€™ Conference due in New Delhi this week. That being the case, India does not see the techno-economic feasibility for the grandiose plans to have a dedicated SAARC satellite. Having developed a series of its Insat satellite systems, India proposes to tell the information ministers that it can meet not only the current needs of the seven nations, but those for some years to come. India has on offer anything up-to five transponders on its INSAT-2 D satellite system.
