The Minister for Communications, The Hon. Malcolm Bligh Turnbull MP, has been confirmed as the opening keynote speaker at the Locate15 Conference being held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre 10-12 March 2015.
Malcolm Turnbull is the current Minister for Communications and a Liberal member of the House of Representatives. He was Leader of the Opposition from September 2008 to December 2009 and prior to that was Shadow Treasurer.
Elected to Federal Parliament as the Member for Wentworth in 2004, Malcolm was appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister with responsibility for national water policy and in 2007 was appointed to Cabinet as the Minister for Environment and Water Resources.
Locate15 is Australia & New Zealand’s leading Spatial event for industry, government and academia in one of the fastest growing industries. The Locate15 programme is designed to energise the location industry, inspire both producers and consumers of location information, and drive greater awareness, adoption and innovation.
The Locate15 Exhibition is open to the general public 10 March 2015 with leading spatial industry companies showcasing the latest technology. The organising committee encourages educators in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) to bring their students to the Open Day for insight into careers in the Spatial industry and to meet professionals changing the way we live and work each day.
