US: Hyperspectral instruments major Headwall recently announced the launch of a high resolution Hyperspec® instrument. The new imager targets very high resolution spectral measurements of 0.1 nm over specific spectral ranges that give indicators of vegetative fluorescence to measure plant health.
Using the latest hyperspectral imager, Precision agriculturalists and remote sensing researchers will now be able to will to analyze chlorophyll fluorescence emissions at extremely high throughput and high resolution.
The new device with an all-reflective concentric optical design, is not just lighter and smaller but also more affordable than any other commercially available products. It's robust packaging makes it ideal for airborne and satellite deployment.
Low stray light, high efficiency, minimized smile and keystone distortion are fundamental to all-reflective concentric optical design approach used in the new device making it more robust for space applications.
