Guardian Prostar releases field data collection software

20 January 2007, Colorado, USA – Guardian ProStar, Inc. has announced the release of PointMan, its commercial field data collection software system. According to Guardian CEO Page Tucker, PointMan provides new and improved capabilities in utility infrastructure data collection, transfer and management.

The software version 1.0 operates on the Microsoft .NET framework 2.0 and Windows Mobile 5.0. The PointMan application offers the versatility to operate on a wide variety of hardware platforms including desktops, laptops and mobile devices with any commercial GPS receiver. Its sophisticated communication and data synchronization features provide a number of project management and work progress reports that can be accessed from the office by management personnel, while work continues in the field.
