Canada: ProStar, a Canada-based software company has developed a system to find how buried infrastructure can be protected from groundbreaking equipment using precision GPS, Mobile and Cloud technologies.
The system ensures precise collection, storage, management and distribution of the utility data. It can also be used to send warning signals to prevent damages to utilities during construction and groundbreaking activities. ProStar has been awarded a Canadian patent for this system. “With this patented system in use, mission critical location information will now be made available in real-time at the fingertips of field personnel so that better business decisions are made,” said ProStar‘s Chief Executive Officer Page Tucker.
