Hyderabad (India), February 10, 2015: At the recently concluded India Geospatial Forum, the India Geospatial Awards was organised to recognise and encourage innovations and excellence brought forward by geospatial technology developers, professionals, end users and policy makers that have fostered the geospatial industry in India.
The India Geospatial Excellence Awards for Application of Geospatial Technology in Mineral Exploration was awarded to Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation and Scanpoint Geomatics for their project titled Manganese, Bauxite and Limestone Reserves Estimation thereby adding to the natural resource stocks of Gujarat State and substantially decreasing the cost of mineral exploration previously done through conventional methods of ground surveys.
