Croydon, UK, August 10, 2007: GGP Systems, the UK provider of GIS is helping one of London’s primary social housing organisations provide quality housing services. Homes for Haringey, who manage 21,000 tenanted and leasehold homes in North London on behalf of Haringey Council, is using GGP Systems’ flagship GIS to improve customer services, maintain accurate housing records and facilitate future web-based communication projects. GGP GIS is used throughout the organisation, is the corporate GIS of Haringey Council, and will be linked with existing Anite management systems.
GGP GIS is used by a number of departments within Homes for Haringey, including Building Services, Design and Engineering and Estates Services, as an advanced solution for the creation, management and communication of detailed geographical information relating to the housing stock, ownership and the surrounding environment. GGP GIS will be integrated with back office solutions from Anite Systems, including Codeman the market leading asset management software and an SQL based property database.
“By providing desktop access to an array of information held in back office systems both internally and within the Council we are able to answer more of our resident’s enquiries, specifically those relating to property improvements and renewals. This will dramatically improve the service we provide to residents. Using GGP GIS we are hoping to make much of this information available via an online mapping function on our website.” said Kevin Loomes, Head of Knowledge Management at Homes for Haringey.
