US: GeoComm was recently selected by the Texas Commission on State Emergency Communications (CSEC) to provide Next Generation 9-1-1(NG9-1-1) GIS services. Under the contract, GeoComm will deliver a managed Enterprise Geospatial Database Management System (EGDMS). The EGDMS, includes an authoritative geospatial data repository associated with the CSEC’s State-level Emergency Services IP network (ESInet) to serve 23 Regional Planning Commission 9-1-1 programmes. Collectively, the programme covers 80% of the state’s landmass, 204 counties and 250 PSAPs.
