Switzerland: The Group on Earth Observations (GEO) has announced that it is seeking its next Secretariat Director. The selected candidate will take up duty on 1 July, 2018.
The person appointed will provide strategic management of GEO stakeholder engagement and the Secretariat, as well as providing informed positions and strategies to GEO’s governance structures to further the implementation of the mission of GEO.
Together with experience in sound Financial and Human Resource management, the Director has the ability to serve as a capable, persuasive and engaging proponent of the need for the Group on Earth Observations (GEO) and the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS) in building a sustainable world for the future.
