Now, with the launch of Brainnwave Geo Web Services, access to the most up-to-date mapping data instantly is no more a hassle. This is the first time that this kind of services is available for the private sector organizations.
The data start-up has launched web services that break the traditional barriers and gives access to mapping data such as Web Feature Service (WFS), Ordnance Survey MasterMap Topography Layer, Web Map Service (WMS), Web Map Tile Service (WMTS), Ordnance Survey and open source data.
The new online service allows users to save on the resource and expense of data management, storage, and change-only updates. It lets users easily query, view and receive a content feed of geographic information in usable formats, such as pre-rendered geo-referenced maps.

The subscription-based service covers license issues related to the data and automatic updates ensure the most current datasets are instantly available. The formats mean that data from the Brainnwave marketplace can easily integrate directly to customers’ GIS and web servers.
Brainnwave, based in Edinburgh, recently established its ‘slice and price’ data service which takes the pain out of sourcing and acquiring specific sets of data, enabling customers to focus on gaining valuable insight from the data unlocked.
