< 1 Minute Read

Ethiopia: Successes of Ethiopia’s new Mining Cadastre System was celebrated in Addis Ababa. The system was funded by Ministry of Mines and Energy and World Bank. It is based on Spatial Dimension’s FlexiCadastre mineral rights management solution.

In his keynote address, Minister of Mines and Energy, H.E. Alemayehu Tegenu, cited the name of projects where the new system played an important role. The minister said that it helped in effective compliance monitoring of all license holders, standardised business processes throughout Federal and State Agencies, reduction in processing time for new applications from weeks to minutes and so on.

Spatial Dimension said that in the Government space we are working with more and more Ministries who are embarking on legislative reviews with a plan to implement transparent cadastral processes while at the same time ensuring maximum benefit flows to the country and local communities.
