Esri UC | TRC Companies to Present the Power of Geospatial Technology and Location Intelligence

2 Minutes Read

TRC Companies (TRC), formerly Locana, will present on how geospatial technology empowers organizations to optimize their field workforce while improving business performance and how utilities have successfully implemented comprehensive material tracking and traceability at the 2024 Esri User Conference in San Diego from July 15 through 19.

TRC is the industry leader in delivering consulting, engineering and construction services that benefit from using location-based solutions to integrate, analyze and visualize data across applications and systems.

“Across the globe, organizations are taking advantage of modern mapping and location intelligence to solve problems, build better businesses and create a better world,” said Jeff Haight, Managing Director of GIS & Sector Strategy Lead for TRC. “At the Esri User Conference this week, the theme is GIS – Uniting Our World. It will focus on the common language of geography to build inclusivity and collaboration, approach challenges holistically, and empower individuals and organizations to make a difference in the world. At the show, our leaders will present best practices and use cases on how GIS can enhance organizational collaboration, inform decision-making, deliver better outcomes through consolidated workflows and connected data, and help them address their most pressing challenges.”

Locana Presentations

  • July 16 at 10:00 a.m. PDT in Partner Presentation Theater – Lightning Talk on Mobile User Cases in Any Asset-Intensive Industry

Jen Campbell, TRC Vice President, Innovation and Product Marketing, will present a Lightning Talk, which is a five-minute session “designed to inform, motivate, and inspire attendees.”

In this session, Campbell will demonstrate how asset-intensive companies looking to support a robust field program with hundreds to thousands of field workers can leverage Lemur™ mobile GIS solution to bring the best of their enterprise out to the field with intuitive, use-case-focused workflows in both on and offline situations.

  • July 16 at 2:30 p.m. PDT in Room 29 C | SDCC – Comprehensive Material Tracking & Traceability and Mobile As-Builting

In this session, Dominic Fossile, P.E., TRC  Technical Project Manager, along with Kevin Campbell, Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc., and Richard Citkowicz, GIS Analyst, South Jersey Industries (SJI), will share how SJI recently implemented an advanced field data collection solution for natural gas plastic distribution main construction. This innovative program utilizes Esri Field Maps and a high-precision GPS unit to ensure the scanning of product barcodes, collection of comprehensive attribute data, and real-time verification of all assets to ensure compliance with approved materials standards. It also enhances Operator Qualifications monitoring throughout the construction process and integrates all field data into SJI’s existing GIS and other enterprise systems.
