Dubai: Kingdom of Bahrain recently participated in ESRI Developer Summit Middle East and Africa which took place in Dubai. Kingdom of Bahrain represented by the GIS Directorate at the CIO shared its experience in building 3D city model at the Summit on the request of ESRI using ESRI’s latest GIS and remote sensing technologies by Fathi Al Burshaid, Head of Remote Sensing Section.
“Summit delegates have praised the Kingdom’s success in the field of GIS and such achievements have placed the Kingdom in the ranks of developed countries in the world in this field. Large number of participants from all over the world such as users, developers, GIS specialists and decision-makers have attended the summit to learn and to be updated by the latest GIS and Remote Sensing technologies and its impact on the Middle East and Africa,” said Khalid A.Hameed Al-Hammadi, Acting Director of GIS Directorate at CIO.
