Aizawl, India: With a move to make access of election-related information by the people, Election Commission of India has launched a new website – www.eci.nic.in
Now, the geographical location i.e. longitude and latitude, of all the polling stations in NCT of New Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Sikkim, Mizoram, Tripura and Meghalaya are shown on the website.
Moreover, names and mobile phone number of BLO, ERO, DEO and CEO of each polling station are also given. Work is on to make the same available in other States too, and therefore, after completion, anyone may easily look up the location of polling station of any State/UT, and information of the respective constituency and district.
The Election Commission of India is expecting that the ECI website will be of much help for the political parties, CSOs, NGOs and all the people.
