Citygate GIS Inc., US-based developer of ESRI based commercial mapping software has released version 2 of its E-MAPS Tactical Mapping System. E-MAPS is designed to provide emergency managers and first responders with a map based decision support tool for use during an emergency.
The software provides the user with the ability to locate and manage incidents, create optimized roadblocks, generate alternate evacuation routes, compute plume models, create search patterns, support amber alerts, create presentations and briefings and share event information between agencies.
E-MAPS is a standalone application based on ESRI’s MapObjects technology. The software does not require any additional GIS software and the USA Version includes all necessary map data. E-MAPS does not require any Internet connection and can easily be field installed on a moderately configured computer system.
