Drone schools mushroom in China

< 1 Minute Read

China: Estimates say China will need more than 10,000 drone pilots this year. This is because of growing demand for drones from mapping, precision agriculture and maintenance industries. And right now, less than 1,000 people in China are licensed drone flyers. Therefore, to meet the demand, new drone training schools are opening up across the country.

Right now, there are 42 drone schools in the country. For $1,260, a two-week intensive study program would teach a student about insurance, regulations and how drones are built and can be fixed. Students even spend more than 20 hours on drone flight simulators before they graduate to the real deal.
