DigitalGlobe Inc. is cutting 40 positions, or slightly more than 2 percent of its workforce, to increase its operating efficiency. DigitalGlobe senior vice president and chief human resource officer Grover Wray said, “The job eliminations were not concentrated in any specific functional group or location, but were distributed based on where in our organization we could drive greater operational efficiency. These decisions are necessary in order to better align our talent with our strategic vision plan while delivering on our commitment to our shareowners.”
Earlier this year, DigitalGlobe cut 155 positions, 64 of them in Colorado. About a third of those cuts were of contract workers.
