Virginia, USA 21 June 2007: The American Council of Engineering Companies’ (ACEC) in their Annual Engineering Excellence Awards, honored Dewberry project on GIS engineering and mapping system, GeoFIRM.
Dewberry currently uses GeoFIRM to automate engineering and digital floodmap production tasks. In 2005-2006, Dewberry produced digital mapping which helped FEMA establish the flood hazard risk for almost 40 million people or 13% of the entire United States.
Also for its design of the Knoll Water Pumping Station in the Township of Parsippany -Troy Hills, New Jersey, Dewberry received an Honor Award from the ACEC of New Jersey. Dewberryโs design provided the township with long term solutions to its water-shortage issues.
