The biggest temporary maze in the world, which has 10 miles of pathway, is to open in Dorset on Friday.
Martin Stewart spent ยฃ70,000 and used global positioning system satellites to develop the 16-acre attraction in Christchurch.
It is in the shape of a leaping deer and has three entwined mazes, each more difficult to complete than the last.
The attraction, which will only be open until September, has 750,000 maize plants and takes up to three hours to complete.
The Times says Mr Stewart came up with the idea to entice people back to the countryside after last year’s foot-and-mouth crisis.
“It has not been easy to recreate it and as well as using GPS we marked it out by hand to make sure we got it right,” said Mr Stewart.
He says it’s hoped about 40,000 people will visit the attraction by September when the maze will close and the plants harvested.
The routes of the silver, gold and platinum mazes all end in the centre where refreshments are available people can decide whether to carry on or take an easier route. Mr Stewart runs a garden centre next door to the maze.
