Brazil: The Institute for Technological Research in Brazil will conduct mapping of areas which are subject to severe landslide risk and flooding. Mapping of 16 counties will be conducted under the state”s preventive plan. The project will be executed in collaboration with the Laboratory of Environmental Risk (IPT) to prepare maps and photographic documentation.
The data collected will be analysed to make a technical report, which will contain information such as description of the area evaluated, delimitation of risk areas identified with the help of satellite imagery, the number of properties at risk, number of people at risk and suggestions to minimise the identified risks.
