Maine, USA, 15 May 2006: Blue Marble Geographics has announced the release of GeoObjects 4.1, a map display tool kit for GIS developers. GeoObjects 4.1 is a 32-bit COM control for spatial data access, display, and analysis. The design of the control allows a developer to create high-end GIS applications on any Windows platform. It is able to display and interact with most industry standard vector and raster file formats. GeoObjects is also the core engine display tool behind Blue Marble Geographics desktop applications.
GeoObjects 4.1 introduces display support for .e00 export format, TIGER/Line files, internally referenced images, and binary DXF files with enhanced read of BML and DGN files. Users can now manually specify datum shifts and use the Hotine Two Point Projection. Methods to control the zoom mode of the map window to make it easier to implement zoom in, out, and pan features also have been added. This release also includes new sample projects for VB.NET development.
