Michael Baker Jr., Inc., the civil and transportation engineering unit of Michael Baker Corporation has been awarded a five-year contract to participate in the Multiple Award Schedule program administered by the U. S. General Services Administration (GSA).
The contract was awarded to Baker under the newly established Corporate Contract Schedule Program designed to significantly reduce the government administrative cost and time for procurement. Through the contract, Baker has been pre-qualified to provide services in management and business process improvement, engineering and technical disciplines, environmental, energy management and a broad range of information technology services to government customers.
The Engineering unit has also recently been awarded a seven-year contract by the U. S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to provide geographic information systems (GIS), mapping and related services to federal, state and local governments.
