Bahrain is now well-positioned to exploit all GIS techniques and expertise, a crucial aspect of any economy in terms of the nation’s geography, population and economic development.
Addressing the third annual conference and exhibition on GIS held recently, telecom company Batelco’s Chief Executive Tony Hart said that it was vital for private and public sectors in Bahrain and other regional countries to embrace the information-rich technology to enjoy economic and social success.
The opening of the GIS Conference and Exhibition was attended by the Minister for State and the Chairman of Tender Board, Dr Abdulhussein Mirza, and other Government officials.
