< 1 Minute Read

Hyderabad-based Azista BST Aerospace Private Limited has received approval from the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (IN-SPACe) to set up and operate a ground station using UHF frequencies.

The new ground station will support Azista’s satellite operations and offer Ground Station as a Service (GSaaS) to both domestic and international clients for telemetry, tracking, and command (TT&C) functions and data reception from remote sensing satellites.

UHF ground stations are crucial for satellite communications, including data relay for remote sensing, satellite control, and weather and environmental monitoring.

Dr. P K Jain, Director- Program Management and Authorization Directorate (PMAD), IN-SPACe, stated, “This authorization is yet another step by the Government to encourage and enable Indian satellite operators who will now have alternative Indian ground station service providers for their satellite operations and data reception in the UHF band.”

Azista Industries Pvt Ltd aims to capitalize on the growing demand for small satellites in India and globally.
