Azerbaijan: The EU has granted EUR 900,000 for the second phase of Azerbaijan’s land registry project. The project will be implemented by State Committee for Land & Cartography of Azerbaijan. Carrying forward the goals of the first phase of the project, the second phase aims to “support the State Committee for Land and Cartography of Azerbaijan in creation of modern information system on land registry through process of improvement of appraisal and economic assessment of land in accordance with the EU standards”.
The second phase of the project consists of three components – institutional development of appropriate structures and improvement of the legal system, methodology of evaluation of land and its integration into the state system of land registry, registration of information of the state land cadastre and cadastre information system of cities/towns.
