Golden, USA, August 29, 2007: AWhere, Inc (AWI) Co-founder and CEO, John D. Corbett, Ph.D., will speak at the African Green Revolution Conference in Oslo, Norway, August 29th – September 1st, 2007. The Conference has become the venue for Public-Private Partnership (PPP) aimed at increasing agricultural productivity in Africa.

Dr. Corbett spent several years engaged in agricultural climatology research in Kenya with ICRAF now known as World Agroforestry Centre. During this time, the data sharing and ease-of-use vision for AWhere software evolved. The AWhere mapping platform of gaining โ€œlocation intelligenceโ€ from interactive maps emerged from his research dissemination challenges, primarily, the need to provide multidisciplinary teams with an interface to support the inherently spatial challenges of agriculture and agri-business in Africa. Complimentary AWhere software licenses and African data sets will be available to conference attendees.

“I’m delighted to be involved and to contribute both my agricultural climatology experience and our mapping software to these World Leaders working to developing sustainable agriculture for Africa,” said Corbett.
