US: Autodesk’s annual flagship user event, Autodesk University, kicks off in Las Vegas today. During the event, the company plans to introduce several new technologies and partners to enable Autodesk customers to reach better outcomes and adapt to the future of making things.

Moreover, Autodesk will announce new Cloud services focused on the Internet of Things, construction document management and a new subscriber experience. The company will also roll out a series of major new efforts focused on its developer ecosystem for Cloud services.

Carl Bass, Autodesk president and CEO, says, “Technologies like the Internet of Things, augmented and virtual reality, and robotics will change the way engineers and designers work. Places and things are more connected, intelligent and dynamic than ever before.”

There are three Innovation Forums at the event this year. They are themes around: changes in intellectual production, in physical production, and in consumer demand and products. Nearly 10,000 attendees are expected to be present at the event.
