US: Autodesk has signed an agreement to acquire SeeControl, a developer of cloud service platform. Through this acquisition, Autodesk plans to sell and support the SeeControl platform and integrate its technology into design solutions for the manufacturing and building industries. According to Amar Hanspal, Autodesk Senior Vice President for Information Modelling and Platform Products, the acquisition of SeeControl is the first step on Autodesk’s ongoing efforts to develop new technologies and solutions that will help the company’s customers leverage the Internet of Things, starting by enabling them to capture, analyze, and utilise data from their products.
