Autodesk achieves interoperability

< 1 Minute Read

AUTODESK, a software solutions provider for designers, has achieved interoperability between CAD (computer-aided design) and GIS application software. This helps the company expand into the infrastructure management space.

The combination of these two applications helps address areas such as asset management, mining and prospecting as in collieries, the telecom sector and in Government applications and management of large cities. Mr Paul Kuah, Marketing Manager, Infrastructure Solutions Division, Autodesk, South Asia Pacific, said engineering design and geographic analysis are important to the organisations that employ CAD and GIS.

These distinctive technologies address specific-tasks that the other performs poorly or not at all.
