AUTODESK, a software solutions provider for designers, has achieved interoperability between CAD (computer-aided design) and GIS application software. This helps the company expand into the infrastructure management space.
The combination of these two applications helps address areas such as asset management, mining and prospecting as in collieries, the telecom sector and in Government applications and management of large cities.
