Ha Noi, Vietnam: Association of Vietnamese Insurers (AVS) awarded VND32 billion (USD 1.5 million) project titled, Business Intelligence – Geographic Information System, to FPT Information System.
As part of the project, FPT will develop a database for AVS to help insure vehicle owners. It will be a comprehensive management and supervision system for the compulsory insurance of vehicles across the country.
Viet Nam is now home to 32 million motorcycles and more than 1.5 million cars and by 2015, predictions put those numbers at 36 million and 5 million, respectively.
