On the Occasion of the Fifteenth Session of UN-GGIM

On August 7, 2025, during the Fifteenth Session of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM), a special reception was hosted at the UN Headquarters in New York to mark the official launch of Geospatial World Forum 2026 (GWF 2026).
This was the first of many GWF reception held in New York, bringing together dignitaries, policymakers, industry leaders, and members of the international geospatial community for an evening of networking, knowledge exchange, and celebration. The reception welcomed over 150 participants, reflecting the strong interest and shared commitment of the global geospatial community.
The gathering served as a meaningful prelude to Geospatial World Forum 2026, scheduled for 27 April – 1 May 2026 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, offering organizations worldwide an early opportunity to connect and engage with the community ahead of the flagship event.
